Angela has always created space for good music. In college, she managed local folk venues, booking acts, promoting shows and running sound. In the early 80s, Angela moved to New York City where she held a prominent role in the Greenwich Village folk scene by aiding in the launch and production of the Fast Folk Musical Magazine, and founding the Greenwhich Village Speak Easy, a music club that hosted acts such as Christine Lavin, Andy Breckman, Suzanne Vega, The Roches, Lucy Kaplansky, Dave Van Ronk and David Massengill.
After relocating to the Catskill Mountains in upstate New York, she began DJing for Folk Plus at the local Hydro-powered radio station, WJFF. After 30 years of dedicated radio shows to folk music, she was inducted into the Folk Alliance International Hall of Fame in 2022.
Angela has judged for showcases at NERFA (North East Regional Folk Alliance) and the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. She has also MC'd and presented at workshops at the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals, reviewed artists for SingOut! Magazine, and had specials run on Sirius FM.
